A popular bespoke market will return this weekend after the council sought a new organiser
A procurement process was then started by Gosport Borough Council to find a new organiser. Although there has been no confirmation as to who is taking over the running of the event, the council have confirmed that Saturday’s market will go ahead as planned.

A council spokesperson said: “We’re pleased to confirm that the August Bank Holiday bespoke market will be taking place as planned, with a mixture of stalls, local food and free family entertainment.
"All are welcome to the event, which will take place on Gosport High Street on Saturday, August 29, from 10am to 4pm.
"The Council is also currently undertaking a procurement exercise covering the Christmas Light Switch-On to run alongside the bespoke market on the same day. We are looking to ensure that the events are delivered successfully and provide a positive experience for residents, visitors and local businesses.”
