Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage's future hung by a thread at the weekend, not because of local election results which pointed to a successful return in 2015, but because of a charity abseil in aid of the MS Society.
Caroline took part in the challenge with her husband, Mark Lancaster MP. The pair were part of a team who abseiled down the 170m Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth last Saturday raising nearly £10,000 for the charity.
Safely back on the ground, Caroline said:
"It was a slightly nerve wracking experience as it's very, very high. I must admit that I encouraged Mark to step over the edge first! However, it's all for a great cause that is close to our hearts."
"The MS Society have been very supportive to one of our friends and the least we could do was support them in return."
The challenge follows on from Caroline's 2012 charity sky dive which also helped to raise funds for the MS Society.
