Today, Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is publishing the biographies of two more inspiring apprentices from Gosport.
Lauren, 22, is an apprentice administration assistant. She provides day-to-day support for the 19+ Vocational Programmes in the Adult & Higher Education area at St Vincent College. She says that working as part of a supportive team has been one of the highlights of her apprenticeship, which provides her with the rewarding opportunity to contribute to the educational development of adult learners.
Alex, 19, has been working as an apprentice administrator at Maritime Services International for 1 year, completing an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration. He thoroughly enjoys the responsibility and challenges of his apprenticeship and would encourage others to follow this path because of the experience and life skills you can gain.
Commenting, Caroline said:
“Lauren and Alex’s stories clearly illustrate how learning in a work-setting enables apprentices to become specialists in their sector. I was really pleased to hear about how rewarding they find their careers and how they hope to progress in the future. It is great that St Vincent College has supported them in finding their individual career paths.”
