CAROLINE DEMANDS BETTER TRANSPORT LINKS FOR THE SOUTH

Caroline Dinenage last night called a debate in Parliament on the state of transport in the south of England. Speaking in the House of Commons the Gosport MP urged the Government to invest more on blocked up roads like the A32 and the M27, and on overcrowded rail routes linking up southern cities and the capital. The local MP argued that improved transport links are vital to make sure that people on the Gosport peninsula can travel for work, and to help tackle the pockets of deprivation that exist across the south coast.

CAROLINE ENCOURAGES LOCAL BIDS FOR COASTAL COMMUNITIES FUND

Local MP Caroline Dinenage today encouraged local businesses and voluntary organisations to submit applications for funding from the Coastal Communities Fund. The Fund aims to support the economic development of UK coastal communities like Gosport, Lee on the Solent & Hill Head, by awarding funding to deliver sustainable economic growth and good jobs.

CAROLINE PRESSES PM ON SENTENCING FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING

Local MP Caroline Dinenage pushed the Prime Minister at PMQs today to review the maximum sentence for causing death by dangerous driving. The question followed the recent sentencing of Gosport resident Samuel Etherington to nine years in prison after he admitted causing the deaths of two local girls, Jasmine Allsop, 14, and Olivia Lewry, 16, whom he hit with a car.
