CAROLINE CELEBRATES 'NAUTICAL NEWS' IN PARLIAMENT!

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage celebrated a week of excellent nautical news for her local area this morning, when she welcomed the arrival of the Sailing Sclerosis Foundation's Oceans of Hope yacht in Portsmouth during questions to the Minister for Culture, Media and Sport.

CAROLINE WELCOMES £8M GOVERNMENT BOOST FOR BEN AINSLIE'S HQ

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage today welcomed the news that Ben Ainslie's America's Cup HQ will be based in Portsmouth, receiving an £8m cash boost from the Government. Construction on the site will get underway immediately, and the investment is expected to create 90 direct jobs, with hundreds more created indirectly across the region.

CAROLINE PLEDGES SUPPORT TO HELP HOMELESS PEOPLE IMPROVE ENGLISH AND MATHS SKILLS

Local MP Caroline Dinenage today pledged to support the efforts of homelessness charity St Mungo's Broadway after hearing how homeless people are held back by a lack of basic literacy skills. Caroline has long pushed for improvements in basic skills, and this pledge follows her work in the House of Commons to improve both literacy and numeracy amongst children and adults.

Local MP Caroline Dinenage continued to push her skills agenda in the House of Commons today as she spoke up in support of the Education Business Partnership. The EBP work to create links between schools and businesses to help make sure that young people have the skills they need to succeed in the world of work.
