Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, has launched a new campaign for her constituents in Gosport, Lee on the Solent, Stubbington and Hill Head to celebrate the area’s Community Business Champions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Caroline has been in regular contact with local businesses and residents since the outbreak of coronavirus, hearing stories about the tremendous community spirit that has helped boost morale in very tough times.
Now, as the UK continues on its roadmap out of lockdown, Caroline is asking constituents to help her take a look back and thank businesses and organisations for the times when they have gone the extra mile to help out.
Caroline will personally reach out to all of those nominated and thank for them their valiant efforts over the past year and, when time and restrictions allow, aim to organise visits too.
Commenting, Caroline said:
“I’ve been completely blown away by the amazing community spirit that has seen us through the difficult past 13 months. From restaurants delivering to our vulnerable relatives and neighbours, to our amazing community groups doing tireless work and stepping up to the plate.
As we leave lockdown behind I want to look back and thank everyone for their hard work, and to do so I want to hear from local residents about their stories and nominations.”
Constituents can nominate businesses or organisations on Caroline’s website throughout May here: https://www.caroline4gosport.co.uk/cbc
