"Acts of Kindness have done so much to help people in the Gosport Constituency and beyond over the last 6 years. During the Covid-19 pandemic they have stepped up meet the challenges head on, so I am delighted to show my support.
Their work is truly inspiring and heartwarming, bringing an army of brilliant volunteers together to support our community in so many ways!”
Kerry Suggs, who set up Acts of Kindness in 2014 said:
“We were delighted to welcome Caroline to meet some of our wonderful volunteers and learn more about our work at this time.
We know that many people are having a difficult time at the moment and that the pandemic is having a huge effect on people’s mental health. We are here to help spread some kindness and it was good to be able to show Caroline what we are doing to help those locally and to talk more about acts of kindness generally.”
During the visit Caroline heard about a number of initiatives the charity has assisted with from providing 300 VE Day afternoon teas for care home residents to delivering toys and crafts to vulnerable children in the area.
