Caroline Welcomes Safer Community Funding

Police and Crime Commissioner, Michael Lane, has announced this year's Safer Communities Fund Allocations for October 2019 to September 2020.

A total of £89,088 has been granted to 7 projects which work in the Gosport Constituency.

These 7 projects operating in Gosport are:

  • £15 000 to Spurgeons
    • For the Spurgeons Invisible Walls Family Support Service to reduce reoffending
  • £15 000 to CIS’ters
    • Granted to the Emotional Resilience programme to help victims of sexual crime
  • £11 775 to Collaborate Digital LTD
    • To fund a Hampshire Knife Crime Schools Media Competition
  • £15 000 to the Hampshire Constabulary
    • For the Hotel Watch, a secure platform of information sharing
  • £7 150 for Stop Domestic Abuse
    • Funding for the DAY Programme, a preventive group programme with young people
  • £10 500 to Fusion Plus Trading as Music Fusion
    • For the project Maverick Sessions, a music programme to reduce reoffending
  • £14 663 to Motiv8
    •  For the Motiv8 Gosport Choices Programme working with vulnerable young people at risk of abuse, crime or exploitation

The funding granted to support projects that help protect the most vulnerable in communities across Hampshire and in Gosport, giving vital support and reducing pressure on police officers.

Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, commented:
