Local MP Caroline Dinenage commended Gosport Borough Council as they opened nominations for an awards ceremony to celebrate thriving businesses in the area.
The initiative is designed to promote business success and publicly recognise companies, organisations and individuals in the community.
The fact that businesses in Gosport are continuing to thrive despite difficult trading conditions is a testament to the entire business community. Caroline said “This award ceremony is a fantastic idea; it’s only right that we come together and celebrate the wealth of business talent and entrepreneurship we have at our disposal.”
Caroline has a long-standing interest in this area and has regularly raised the issue of greater support for business owners in Westminster, as well as toured local businesses throughout the constituency.
By recognising businesses in Gosport it certainly bodes well for the future and shows that our economy is well on the way to recovery.
The categories up for awards are Economic Prosperity, Economic Growth, Economic Potential, Workforce Investment, and Community Investment.
Interested organisations have until October 14 to submit nominations to the council and further information and nomination forms can be found on www.go-gosport.co.uk
