Local MP Caroline Dinenage paid a visit to the Gosport Men's Shed in their new home at St Vincent College on Friday.
The Men's Shed provides workshop facilities to older men to complete both community and personal projects. It was established in May 2013 and now has over 60 members. At the end of last year, the organisation moved from its original home, Fort Brockhurst to a new premises at St Vincent College.
During her visit, Caroline spoke to members of the Men's Shed and was given a tour of the new facilities.
She commented:
"I am always delighted to see the lovely chaps at the Gosport Men's Shed and was thrilled to see their fantastic new home. I feel a particular fondness for this group as I was at their very first inaugural meeting and have maintained a close friendship with them ever since!
The Men's Shed provides an invaluable social network for many older men in Gosport and helps to give them a renew sense of purpose in their retirement."
Earlier this year, Caroline welcomed members of the Men's Shed to Parliament and supported them during their departure from Fort Brockhurst.
