Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage today urged local people to nominate good causes in the Gosport area for the Lloyds Bank Community Fund. The community fund provides grants to support local good causes across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, and for the first time people across the country are able to nominate their own community groups.
Commenting, Caroline said "With grants of up to £3,000, this is a great way for projects and services that make a real difference to the Gosport area to get the funds they desperately need. If anyone has a nomination I'd encourage them to send it in today!"
Around 1,400 good causes in 350 communities across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands are set to benefit from the Community Fund. Nominations can be made online at www.lloydsbank.com/communityfund. Once nominated, each group will be invited to directly apply to Community Fund online. Nominations are now open, and will close on 30 April 2014, with applications remaining open until 9 May 2014.
