Gosport MP, Caroline Dinenage, today spoke to Lin Gell who is coordinating Team Scrubbers to thank her and her team of volunteers for their tremendous work.
Over 200 seamstresses from across the region - Emsworth to Romsey and Gosport to Petersfield - are making scrubs for hospitals, GPS, hospices and carers in our area. They have already delivered over 4000 garments!
The group have had support from North Sails with cutting the patterns, the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership, who have donated £4000 to buy materials and Gosportarians who have raised thousands of pounds to support their work.
Commenting, Caroline said:
“I wanted to thank Lin and her amazing team of Scrubbers for all their hard work and to see what I could do to support them. Their community spirit in these challenging times has been remarkable and greatly welcomed by our local health and care system.”
Team Scrubbers are looking for more volunteers and donations to help fund their work. To find out more please visit https://www.facebook.com/groups/533076717403447/.
