In honour of World Children’s Day on the 20th November, Gosport MP, Caroline Dinenage, is asking residents to nominate someone aged between 4-18 for her Young Leading Light Award.
The aim of the award is to thank young residents who have stepped up to the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, and have supported the Gosport Constituency community from anything to weekly calls to the grandparents, to helping neighbours with essential tasks.
Whether lifting spirits or shopping bags, the award looks to recognise their efforts through a certificate, thank you note and social media shout out.
Caroline commented:
“Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, our young residents have risen to the challenge and gone above and beyond to support our community.
“I know that the assistance that they have been offering has been vital to those across Gosport, Hill Head, Stubbington and Lee-on-the-Solent.
“So for Worlds Children Day, I am looking to recognise their efforts and say a massive thank you. I encourage all constituents to nominate their deserving youngster on my website.”
Nominations end on November 18th: www.caroline4gosport.co.uk/youngleadinglightaward
