Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage will be taking the plunge tomorrow when she and her husband abseil down Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower in aid of the MS Society.
Caroline and her husband, Mark Lancaster MP, will be abseiling down the 170 metre structure at 1pm tomorrow in order to raise essential funds for the MS Society in their constituencies of Gosport and Milton Keynes North.
Speaking ahead of the event, Caroline said:
"It is fantastic to be fundraising for the MS Society which does such excellent work to help those affected by this distressing disease both here in Gosport and across the UK. Nevertheless, I am ever so slightly trepidatious about the jump and am trying not to look up whenever I pass the Spinnaker Tower!"
Last weekend, Caroline's dad, Fred Dinenage, abseiled off the Spinnaker Tower with Doris Long on her 100th birthday, making her the oldest person to have abseiled down the building. They were raising funds for The Rowans' Hospice.
